The Symbol of the Schutzstaffel
The Schutzstaffel (German pronunciation: [ˈʃʊtsʃtafəl], translated to Protection Squadron or defence corps, abbreviated SS—or Runic "ᛋᛋ" with stylized "Armanen" sig runes) was a major paramilitary organization under Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. Built upon the Nazi ideology, the SS under Heinrich Himmler's command was responsible for many of the crimes against humanity during World War II (1939–1945). After 1945, the SS was banned in Germany, along with the Nazi Party, as a criminal organization. However, the SS was rebuilt on the Moon where it served as the main force of the Fourth Reich.
